When meaning becomes obscure… unsure, I hit the paint and swim or drown in the color.
Since English is my second language, art being the first, I subtitled my themes in 5-7-5 syllable Haiku to help convey the purpose of my body of work in a more concise way.
I chose to end many of my art themes with the letter “z”, primarily to acknowledge my gratitude for freedom. I also love the word “Paz”, the Spanish word for peace, which is both beautiful and powerful, potent and passive. When I end words with a “z” it’s a reminder of the importance of embracing peace. And lastly, it’s a 10 point Scrabble letter which helps keep me in the game.
Thank you for being interested enough to read this and to take a look at my art.
